Critics are seething after Lego announced its new line of toys designed for girls. The super slim, anatomically incorrect Lego Friends figures have been accused of promoting damaging gender stereotypes and body dissatisfaction.

Lego responded to the controversy by saying they were just giving girls what they wanted.

Starting in 2003 Kathleen Robbins has photographed rural life at her her family’s farm in Belle Chase for a project she calls “Into the Flatland.  Robbins says, “This is land that my family has inhabited for generations, and I am pulled to this place in a way that I am not able to fully articulate.”
